As tempting as it is to all Christmas music during the month of December, many churches opt to celebrate a season of Advent, during which we prepare our hearts for Christ's coming as we invite him to come soon. Many of this week's songs admit our need for a Savior and invite him to come. Be aware of the meaning of these songs as we convey that meaning in our singing and playing. The Lord's Prayer is sung to a Christmas carol tune for those who desire an early 'taste' of Christmas. :)

Pastor Kevin Bueltmann
Sunday is the first Sunday in the season of Advent, a time we prepare not only for Christmas, but a time we prepare our hearts for Christ to enter into our lives and also for Christ's final return to take us home to be with all the saints in heaven. Many of these songs are prayers asking God to come and be with us now and also as we prepare to be with Him in heaven forever.
My sermon is called "Time to Wake Up!" taken from Romans 13:11–14 which is to remind us to be ready for Christ's triumphant return. The song that ties in with the sermon is an old one we are reprising called "Watch & Pray" be sure to learn or re-learn this one.
It is important for us to sing this songs, not only for our benefit, but to remind us that the time we have left to share our faith with others gets shorter every day.
